I would love to come to your school for an author visit. I visit grades K through 2, and do an interactive power point presentation with story related discussions and a reading of one of my books.
I explain the process of creating a picture book to the children and share my acceptance and rejection letters to show how, even I get graded. I come with a craft activity and bookmarks to handout. If appropriate for your class and time is allowed, we act out the story as a play as well.
